No, not at all. The Smarterbuys Store will focus on providing essential household items, and if you need to get credit to purchase them, we want to encourage a low interest responsible borrowing route which will consider your financial affordability.

Accessing credit through The Smarterbuys Store also promotes savings of 25p a week into a savings account opened on your behalf, which can be taken out as cashback or transferred to a savings account in your local credit union at the end of your loan.

We require your landlord information to assist us in processing your credit application.

Bradford Council's Assisted Purchase Scheme only allows for the purchase of essential household items. Some items, such as TV's and games consoles are not considered to be essential and so are not being offered. 

The Assisted Purchase Scheme is run by Bradford Council to help people in low income households to buy essential household items. It is intended to provide help those who struggle to borrow the money they need to buy the items, and as a more affordable alternative to high interest lenders.

Yes - Although Smarterbuys offer a wide range of items, Bradford Council's Assisted Purchase Scheme limits the items that can be bought to 'essential household items'. Consequently, only the items shown on the Smarterbuys Bradford website can be purchased. 

If you rent your property, and there is an item you want that cannot be bought through the Smarterbuys Bradford website, you can check with your landlord to see if they operate a similar scheme.



The product supplier will make arrangements for your delivery either using their own delivery vans, or a courier service. Once you have paid for your goods, the supplier will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery day.
 
It is important that you are available at the relevant address at the time you agree with the supplier.
